Hydraulic compact has a significant effect on eliminating or weakening the inherent or artificial defects of layered compaction of the roadbed
What is different is that when high-speed hydraulic compactors compact the foundation, in order to enhance the strength and density of the foundation material and reinforce the foundation, while directly damaging the original foundation material structure to a greater extent, the hammer head is not directly rammed on the foundation, but hit the grounding hammer head, and then the foundation is compacted through the grounding hammer head.
The operation methods of high-speed hydraulic compaction machines are divided into free fall hammer type and forced fall hammer type. Due to content limitations, the differences between these two operation methods will not be explained in detail here. It is emphasized that the forced drop hammer hydraulic compactor has an acceleration and boosting effect, and has greater compaction strength. It is currently the mainstream of high-speed hydraulic compactor equipment.
At the same time, another characteristic of high-speed hydraulic compactors is "high-speed", which is what we call high-frequency. The high-frequency impact of hydraulic compactors can form continuous pulses, affecting the movement status of the compacted foundation material particles, thereby increasing the compaction degree of the compacted foundation and improving the compaction effect.
The force is equal to the reaction force, and the enormous compaction strength and high-frequency working characteristics of high-speed hydraulic compactors make it easy for the hammer head to be damaged if it directly acts on the grounding hammer head due to the hard collision between steel and steel. Therefore, the designer added a conductive gasket between the high-speed hydraulic compaction machine's hammer head and the grounding hammer head.

The conductive gasket is an internal component that cannot be directly accessed by the line of sight, and it is usually difficult to detect damage in a timely manner. The polymer material conductive gasket has a slightly higher hardness, and the noise is crisp during normal use. After damage, both vibration and noise change, and attention can be paid as a basis for determining whether a malfunction has occurred.
The conductive gasket made of nylon material is relatively soft, and the noise is relatively dull during normal use. After damage, the vibration and noise both change slightly, making it difficult to determine. At the same time, the thickness of the conductive gasket made of nylon material is compressed and thinned quickly after use, resulting in a change in the position of the hammer head and a high frequency of replacement for the inductor to function.
In order to extend the service life of nylon conductive gaskets and reduce the replacement frequency, some manufacturers have adopted the method of increasing the thickness of conductive gaskets, dividing them into 2-3 pieces, and adding a layer of steel plate between the gaskets. However, the thicker the conductive gasket, the greater the compaction strength to absorb the reduced impact force.
The thickness of polymer specific material conductive gaskets is usually 20mm. Due to the promotion of increasing the thickness of nylon material conductive gaskets, hydraulic compaction machine manufacturers now also provide 100mm thick configurations, which have better usage effects, but the cost is relatively high.
