So, how much impact force and how many impacts are required to complete compaction in order to ensure compliance with engineering technical requirements, in addition to the construction experience of professional construction teams and experienced technicians, it needs to be determined through on-site testing and inspection.

At present, compaction is mainly used to control construction quality in the construction of earth and rock dams in hydraulic engineering and highway engineering.
The quality of qualified rolling work can ensure qualified compaction for the construction of railway, highway, and water conservancy engineering dams, playing an important role in preventing dam leakage and ensuring dam safety. In highway engineering, it can improve the bearing capacity of roads and prevent settlement, water infiltration, and other factors.
The outdated traditional detection methods have made construction and maintenance work time-consuming, labor-intensive, slow, and highly affected by human factors, and urgently need to be improved.
Intelligent rapid non-destructive compaction testing technology and road non-destructive testing technology can accelerate construction progress, improve compaction quality, provide better control and management for compaction work, and provide accurate non-destructive testing technology for road maintenance, so as to detect and eliminate hidden dangers in a timely manner.
The intelligent road roller on-board inspection system realizes rapid non-destructive testing of roadbed compaction quality, GPS positioning of roller speed, compaction times, compaction trajectory, and the function of saving and printing reports, which brings certain convenience to on-site compaction quality inspection and control;
The road non-destructive testing system utilizes the frequency dispersion characteristics and propagation speed of waves in different media to conduct non-destructive testing on road structure layering, base layer detachment, and weak interlayers. It is beneficial for the construction party and owner to inspect, verify, and evaluate the constructed road, and can provide certain reference value for later maintenance and repair work.

1. As the soil is continuously compacted, the strength of the soil increases, and the rebound acceleration increases under the impact force. The application of measurement results can adjust the number of impact passes and impact force in real-time on the job site to meet the requirements of compaction construction technology.
2. Before testing, calibrate different types of impact rollers (with different impact forces) and different compacted soils, and select the processing and display methods of the expert system in the tester.
3. The measuring device uses the original onboard battery or traction machine power supply, and the display screen is above the dashboard in the cab.
4. Adopting satellite positioning (GPS system) and remote control technology.
Satellite positioning can locate uneven sections in the construction area, allowing the roller to perform repeated operations in that section, achieving local reinforcement and ensuring overall uniformity and consistency of construction quality.
The intelligent detection system of impact rollers is one of the development directions of impact rollers.
